'Make mine a big one'

05/12/2011:  We have extended our range of transfers for model engineers to encompass 10¼" gauge.  For British Railways livery, we can now offer cabside numerals (BRY01/10) and medium sized yellow 1948 lions (48Lion/101), from stock.  Further liveries in this scale will be available according to demand.
As we come to the end of our programme of upgraded artwork for model engineers' transfers, we are looking to extend our coverage of traction engine and road vehicle designs.  Whilst we cannot produce dedicated lining sets for every design or suggestion, we would appreciate your comments in order to gauge the needs of the market.

20/01/2011:  Thank you to all who stopped by at the recent CMRA exhibition at St Albans.  It was good to meet up with faces old & new.

14/10/2010:
After a hectic summer, we are pleased to offer a fuller version of the 7mm nameplate provisional pricelist.  The range covers locomotives of the Big 4, pre-grouping LNWR, British Railways Standard classes and diesel nameplates and was formerly part of the Jackson-Evans range.  Not all items have made it on to the lists yet, so please email with your requirements if your choice does not appear.  This complements our existing 4mm range of LNWR name and number plates and smokebox numbers.  Please note that we have not taken over the entire Jackson Evans range and that Modelmaster Jackson Evans continue to supply their main range of 4mm scale BR and Big 4 name plates.

24/06/2010:
The former A1 Models Ruston & Hornsby 48DS body kit is now available in 4mm (00) scale.  This very popular model provides a convenient and economic introduction to etched brass construction.  The kit is designed to fit around a Bachmann Dandy Dancer chassis and all parts (buffers, handrail wire etc)
other than the chassis are included.  This model was marketed jointly with Oakville Models and could be made available for 7mm and gauge 1, subject to demand.

28/03/2010:  Following on the success of narrow gauge transfers for 009, we are printing a similar range for SM32.

19/02/2010:  We are pleased to announce that the former Jackson Evans 7mm scale (O gauge) range of nameplates and numberplates for locomotives is now available exclusively from Old Time Workshop.  The range is in excess of 2500 items, and covers the LNWR, the 'Big 4' (GWR, LMS, LNER & SR), British Rail steam and diesel locomotives.  We hope to extend the coverage of pre-grouping, narrow gauge and minor railways when time permits.  It will take a little time to compile preliminary lists of names, as this range has been in storage for some years.  In the meantime, please email us with your requirements (see base of this page).

22/10/2009:  The first of the former A1 Models' etched kits are now available from us.  These wagon kits cover the main superstructure and require bogies, wheels, buffers and detailing to complete.  All have revised instructions, livery & finishing advice etc.

21/08/2009:
After a number of technical issues, our Highland Railway locomotive transfers in 5" gauge are now available.  Each set contains tender lettering for THE HIGHLAND RAILWAY or THE HIGHLAND RAILWAY (Jones & Drummond eras) and the later  H . R, buffer beam numerals and names for the entire Loch class (18 members), Ben Loyal, Ben Alder, Ben-y-Gloe, Thurso Castle, Cawdor Castle and Gordon Castle.  These are the results of considerable research and are undoubtedly the most accurate for this era.  All known examples of original transfers have been examined and scans of these have been used as the basis for current artwork.  The majority were unused and had been stored in archives since 1909!

These are suitable for finishing models made to the late Neville Evans designs for 'Loch' and 'Jones Goods' class locomotives featured in the Model Engineer.  Castings for this model can be obtained from Polly Model Engineering.

Following the successful introduction of our reproduction Hornby trademark transfers for use on pre-war O gauge, we have introduced a range of reproduction parts for restoring antique toys.  These include a selection of fine whitemetal castings for use in restoring Hornby products.  We have also been fortunate to have acquired a number of original foundry patterns from the former J&E Stevens range dating from the 1880s and 1890s.  These relate to a variety of toys, including cap guns, cannons, floor toys, mechanical banks and money boxes.

11/07/2009:  The Dinosaur range of 4mm etched brass locomotive kits formerly supplied by A1 Models will shortly be available from Old Time Workshop.  This includes 10100 (Fell), D2500 & D2510 (Hudswell Clarke),  D2550 (later class 05), D2950 (DY1), D9500 (later class 15) and DS1169 (48DS).

The Talyllyn coach sheet (NG08/009) is pushing the boundaries of a screen printer's art, with gold lettering correctly shaded in 3 further colours.  The letters are a mere 1mm in height!  Each sheet consists of a pair of each carriage number from 1 to 25, plus the words 'FIRST', 'THIRD' and 'SALOON'.

Also available are: Welsh Highland sheet in 1/32 scale (NG01/1, at £4.20) and slate wagons in 16mm scale (NG03/3, at £3.20

For larger scale narrow gauge modellers, we now offer cast 7mm wheelbarrows and quarry tools (2 mallets, 2 chisels and a pick).

I've run out of space!  If your thing is vintage and classic cars, take a look at this list, as there may be something of interest.  Help me clear some space in my garage.
